Where to stay in Mostar

As in any other city you can book a regular hotel stay in Mostar, however, I would recommend you to book a stay at a pansion/guest house – that’s at least what I do when I’m staying in the city.

Some years ago I was walking through the streets of Mostar and found this cozy little garden right behind the crooked bridge where I got myself an ice cold lemonade. I had a great little chat with the owners of the place and I simply fell in love with this lovely family. Since then, I’ve been a regular guest at their guest house, located in the heart of the old city of Mostar.

You can find several guest houses in Mostar and what’s really amazing about these places is that they’re spacious, clean and a whole lot cheaper than a stay at a hotel – and even better, you pay for the room which makes it even more cheap. Not to forget, the experience is amazing as you get in contact with the locals and usually, if you’re as lucky as me, the owner of the guest houses is very nice and helpful.

Other guest houses

As I was out a bit late this year, I had to book a stay at another guest house. Luckily, when I called Pansion Cardak they arranged this for me. I spend a night at Pansion Nur, which is just across Pansion Cardak, owned by his brother.
