My Travel Moments of 2015

The year is ending and here I am, looking at my travel photos from 2015. I wouldn’t lie if I told you there’re more than 40,000 pictures!

I believe that I’ve broken my records this year with 21 countries visited – starting end of March until mid-December. These months have been full of great experiences and adventures and I’m truly thankful for each moment and every opportunity I‘ve been granted. It might some like an awesome lifestyle (which it truly is); however, I must admit that it’s been somewhat exhausting and hard.

Now you might think that I’m a spoiled brat, but in between all these travels I have managed to keep up with my two part-time jobs and a Master program. Moreover, it has almost been unbearable to live in a suitcase for all that time. Imagine coming home from one trip; within the upcoming week, you have to unpack, do the laundry, make dinner, go to work (at times from one job to another), study etc.

However, in the end, I managed it all and I feel like a superwoman!

Travelling is truly my biggest passion in life.

“We travel, initially, to lose ourselves;

and we travel, next to find ourselves.

We travel to open our hearts and eyes

and learn more about the world

Than our newspapers will accommodate.”

However, saying that, I feel like I have to take a small brake from travelling (at least I’ll try). I expect 2016 to be full of new adventures from Europe.

First up, I’ll be “moving” to Bosnia in March where I’ll have to do some fieldwork, as I’m about to start my thesis. I’m super excited!

So far, I’m without any kind of travel plans and that too is scary. For the first time in 8 years, I’m actually without an air ticket.

Finally, I want to thank all of you for a great year.

Have a very happy New Year and stay safe!
